Rob,
I thoroughly enjoyed your preview of the 1D. I personally can’t wait to get mine. I know your report was based on a pre-production model, which leads me to this question:

Do you know when you’ll be getting a final production model? I’m assuming it won’t be until December like everyone else, but are you at the front of any “lists” or do you just have to wait until you can snag one?

What I’m most interested in hearing is your recommendations for CF cards for the 1D (I read your preliminary report), and I’m just wondering how long after the release I’m going to have to wait to get them.

As for when I'll be in possession of a production EOS-1D, and when I'll be able to do a roundup on CF cards for it, the answer is a solid I don't know on both counts! CF card testing will be a priority, however, when a final EOS-1D is in hand.
