Software 1D for D 30

Today I could take the 1D in my hands at canon, it feels like a real solid camera, couldn't take pics at that moment, but its true 4 milion is not a lot more, but wait I'll wait until I see some real pics, not on a screen.
And its true for many photographers who don't need the speed the switch is better when there is a 6 mp camera.
The only thing that I would like to know the software used owith the 1D does it works also for the D 30??

it seems that Canon want to accommodate those of us who already own a D30 when/if we upgrade, without having to run two different software applications. However, there doesn't seem to be any improvements in speed of RAW file conversion which is a disappointment, to say the least.

I shot a wedding last weekend with my D-30 but used a 420 ex unit. The dit cam was mainly used for a polaroid during the portraits and also as a grab cam with the 50mm f/1.8. I got great results from the 420 and dit cam.

I used it a lot during the end of the reception when everyone is dancing and the bouquet/garter tosses. I figured these were not shots people planned to blow up 16x20 and put above the fireplace.

I think what helped me a great deal was that the reception hall had an 8-foot, white ceiling. I bounced the flash off of it and my exposure was around 1/25th, f/2.8 @ iso 400. Good luck and hope it helps.
