5D2 does not know where you are with CF card?

I love the feature that shows exact percentages of where you are with your battery. THe 5d2 just does not know where you are with your CF card though does it? This is because it cannot know what type of card is in the camera?

Of course it knows. Like every digital camera that I know of, it tells you nearly precisely how many photos you have room for on your CF card depending on the current file format you're saving in.
