Last Saturday evening, on Valentines Day, I did an event at a local hotel whereby the dinner guests for the evening got their portraits done by me and will receive a 4x6 in a display easel. After I finished their portraits, my wife showed them the proofs on my laptop and they chose which image they wanted for their complimentary 4x6 (the restaurant was paying me for these complementary images/easels). They also were able to order additional images/enlargements if they wanted.
Once their images come back in a couple weeks from the lab, I had planned to put their images/easels/plaque mounts etc, in a folder along with the following items:
- my regular price list
- a business card
- a rack card I have made up highlighting individual and family portraiture
- a personal letter from me thanking them for the business and some sort of ask/request for referrals and new business
Is there a better way to return the images to the customers than what I've proposed here? Have I missed anything?
If anybody has experience with this sort of thing I'd appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Curtis
