Best way to promote a workshop

I thinking of doing some lighting/portrait photo workshops. What are the best url/websites that can help get the word out? What other ideas could help promote a photography workshop? The more ideas the better. thanks!

The Fred Miranda Forum has a large active membership comprised of professional and amateur photographers as well as photo enthusiasts.

My response is to flip the question around and ask, why would you NOT want to advertise on certain sites?

If it were me, I'd try to create my own site (see Rolando Gomez's site) where he advertises his workshops and provides a running dialog on future dates, objectives, guest mentors etc.

thanks KEvin, that sounds good. please send me any other url of people who do workshops you know of and ideas on how they generate business for them. appreciate it. just getting my feet wet.
