.49 8x10 for Canadians

Just when you thought things were getting expensive, you can buy 8x10's for .49 from digital files here: Photolab

Now all my customers will want to know why I should charge more than .50 for an 8x10. I'm writing a quote right now for a golf tourney at $1,400. ( 6 hours + 144 5x7's printed on-site) - probably won't get it and that price is low.

And I just spent a few hours with a friend of mine who owns a pro lab. He thinks the pro lab industry will be chopped in half within 2 years.

Just a sign of the times.

I have seen this before, it's the Loblaws chain of photofinishing. (For those not in Canada Loblaws is an Old Canadian Grocery chain...think old wealthy family)

I've never used them, but I have seen some of the prints, especially the larger and they aren't that good. Would be best to do a test before buying a batch lot just to make sure. I use a local digital printing house who's price is only a few pennies more, but I can use their printer profile and the prints are stunning, with various paper types available. :: :: :: :: PIKTO :: :: :: ::
