Anyone know of a good, freeware, calendar?

I was using Windows Calendar that is provided with Window's Vista. However, now that my desktop is back up and running (it has XP), I need a calendar that works similar to Windows Calendar that Vista has... but is for XP not Vista. What do you use for your calendar? What are the pro's and con's to using it? Is it freeware or something that may already be on my computer and I just don't realize it? Does anyone know if QuickBooks Pro 2008 has something like that?

I want to be able to check my calendar quickly to see if a date someone is requesting is/is not available, as well as, their contact info and scheduled session info (wedding, portraits, etc).

Thanks in advance for your help in the matter. (hand carried planners just don't work well for me)

Re: Anyone know of a good, freeware, calendar?

I use google's calendar for my business (There corporate services). I love it plus its available to any web connected device including cellphones. You could also use the "free" version offered with a google personal account (same thing as corporate but instead of your domain name on the email it is ***@gmail.com). Before that I used MS exchange 2003 w/ outlook. While it worked well for PC's it didn't play nice with the macs on the network. To be honest I don't miss managing my own mail and calendar server.

Re: Anyone know of a good, freeware, calendar?

I use Outlook synced with my Palm, but I have been gradually switching to Google calendar (non-business version). The nice thing about Google is I can have a bunch of different calendars, for different purposes (some business, some personal), and just by clicking on different calendars I can see them in different combos to show when I have conflicts. When I'm online, it's online, and I can share the URL to a calendar privately (like with my wife) so she can see what I have going on that she needs to know about. They've added the ability to sync your main calendar with Outlook, I haven't tried that yet, but if you haven't, I'd create a free Google account just to try out their tools.

The outlook sync works as advertised. It can sync one way or both (Google - outlook - Google). I've been using the plug in for about a week with no issues.

I use the calendar that comes with Palm Desktop for my Treo, but I don't think it's as versatile as the others mentioned here.

Re: Anyone know of a good, freeware, calendar?

Thank you all for your great responses. I think I am going to get a google account and try out their on-line calendar you all have mentioned. I like the idea of having two calendars that can link to each other. =)
