Re: Illegal Internet Tactics?

I think I over-reacted this time, but nothing got out of control. My mistake, everything's fine. Not so this Feb. I actually had a guy playing that Google game with a list containing several area pros, plus even Ansel Adams, a famous soft drink and a famous hotel chain. He cut the nonsense when I emailed him, figured he was a dumb kid. This time it was an adult, and we both had actually been linked on a videographer's website. Oh well, just live and groan.

Re: Illegal Internet Tactics?

If a photographer (or anyone in business) thinks to 'cheat' the system, and then goes ahead and does it, what kind of a person is he, really? Not very ethical and possibly not very bright - someone that I suspect won't be in business in a year. So why worry about it?

Yes, it's aggravating in the short term. I'm a big believer in karma - things will stay in balance because the 'evil' gets punished. You may never see it, but it happens.

Re: Illegal Internet Tactics?

Some of these guys I've seen come and go for many years Chris. I remember one who is now in prison, others were trust account babies, and/or newbies playing gotcha games, part-timers piggybacking you with the cooperation of the bride. The person in the photo and in real life isn't always identical. Like you said, it always comes back to them. Even on a truly bad day it's good to honestly say hooray, I'm alive, and I'm me, not them.
