Re: photography for a new hotel

the rental idea seems good, get a contract for atleast 2 yrs or have him pay something up front.

Without specifically mentioning it, I made my statement you referred to based on the possibility of not selling the images at a severe discount. I understand the idea of quantity discounts, but I'm well aware of the pitfalls of drastically reducing the price of anything just to make a sale. I agree with you on the problem of people getting used to a bargain.

I can supply most of what he wants, it's just a matter of getting more printed. The ones I can't supply (right now at least) are the wildlife images he mentioned. And yes, I know of other photographers who have the wildlife images he has asked for, I'm just unsure as to the best way to go about partnering.

Yes, there is one frame shop I know of, but their price is too high. I can work with (and am getting a quote from) a company in Surrey/Langley that gives me wholesale prices. It's been worth it on other jobs even taking into consideration the additional expenses (i.e. shipping) of working with a remote supplier.

Sounds like a good thing, but I'm not really clear on how this rental idea would work. I'd need more clarification. In the end though, I'm not sure it would work financially for me as there's no way I can afford the up front production costs of 120 prints without any expectation of remuneration.
