Hey! I didn't notice before... I do believe our next president is leaning to the right in this image!

I did a TinEye search for the image and it came up with no matches.

As a "creative type" opposed to a pro photographer my take was it's a snapshot. But all you pros agree it's a high end SLR. Just want to add this is a fun forum and I'm glad I joined.

Re: What was this photo shot with?

It's certainly not a snap shot. It's either taken by campaign photographer, or newsie with special access. Obama ran a perfect campaign, and a big part of that is controlling his printed image. If they can't directly control the image, they're going to have someone there who's perceived as friendly taking them.

There are lots of photos of Obama on his Flickr site:

Flickr: Barack Obama's Photostream

Most, if not all, are available for download using Creative Commons license. And many of the photos of Barrack appear to be of a snapshot variety. There are over 53k photos from his campaign.

Re: What was this photo shot with?

Mike, I wonder if you can tell us anything about it, where it came from, how you came by it, etc. Now that you have my curiosity peaked, it would be nice to know. Also, why is it important for you to know what camera took it, and what lens?

I guess we're all primed for "the rest of the story."
