WFT-E1 connection issues

Hi all,

I've recently bought a wft-e1 and am having a few issues getting it set up correctly. If I set it to connect to my MacBook through my broadband router, it works fine, but... if I disconnect the adsl line and try just to use the router (I'm planning on taking a router with me on jobs) I lose the connection to my ftp server. I've followed a few of the threads on the forum here to try and get it to work ad-hoc and I've got a reasonable understainding of IP configuration, but at the moment it's got me beat. I don't know if there's something I'm not doing right with the MacBooks inbuilt FTP server or what so I'd really appreciate some help if anybody's got any ideas.

Base setup WFT-E1 with latest firmware update, Canon 5D with latest firmware update and Macbook 2.1 4gb ram OSX 10.5.5

I found a Wiki site dedicated to the WFT-E1. maybe it can help you with your problem. Looks like it is just a matter of switching one setting on the device.
