You suspect a fellow photographer is violating a musician's copyright by using his music in advertisement.
I fail to see how you are personally affected by this alleged violation.

Is the copyright of musician any less important than that of a photographer?
If someone was reporting a musician for using a photograph without permission peoiple would be hitting the roof.

I am a child of the 1970's. By my parents, friends, and even teachers, I learned that tattling, narking, and snitching was the lowest form of human life. Unless your were personally involved or it involved a grievous crime such as rape or murder, MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS was a core value to me.
I must mention that I came from a union family and a union dominated community. The same people taught me that business owners were usually working against the “little guy”.
Now both my wife and I own businesses and I can now see the other side. Most business owners are honest and fair. Still, I have a bit of a bias left in me.
Like Nigel said, this is no different that someone violating our copyrights. If you don’t stop it, it will continue to spread. Thus, it is not wrong to report a violation.
However, for me it is hard to break a CORE VALUE. I still don’t liking snitching. Personally, I wouldn’t do it.
