Hi.
Recently I saw a thread on some forum which described in good detail how to strip and clean a Gitzo after immersion in salt water. Accompanying the write up was a photo of 2 guys in chest waders, waist deep in water with 600mm Canon lenses, using Gitzo tripods to photograph Grebes (Loons?). More importantly, some excellent photos of the strip down of the tripod legs.
Unfortunately I can't remember which forum it was, or how to do it. Worse I've just bought a 1325 and the cost
precludes me from experimenting!
As an aside, it really is a very stable tripod, and oh how nice not to have to stoop to look into a viewfinder anymore.
Should have done it years ago!
Can anyone please help?
