Re: Which website for selling photos over the web?

mike, have you had many sales with exposuremanager at all, it looks like a good website, but do you get a lot of activity on it? do people in the know just flock to it, or do they advertise heavily somewhere that i haven't seen. i guess regardless, it is little effort for potential return. oh yea, have you had any copyright concerns with them?
thanks,
roger

I use printroom.com and my customers have been happy with the prints they deliver. As part of the "pro" package I can set my own prices on a large variety of good and print sizes. A check comes each month all in all I have been pretty happy. For a look at my gallery's go to http://www.printroom.com/pro/rodeofotos

Hi Les,

Some really nice images! One suggestion, there are several images that are on your mini "slide-show" on the home page that look really good but there's no easy way to find them. How about a "Best Of..." gallery featuring your key rodeo images that could be sold as fine art prints.

Cheers,

Paul

Have a look at www.photoreflect.com

I am in the UK and use the services of www.everybodysmile.co.uk no reason US based photographers can't use them either.

They are great to deal with and always respond on the button.

Re: Which website for selling photos over the web?

LabPrints.com is the best value for the $$ that I have found. Easy storefront for clients to navigate and the images load quickly. Go to:
http://www.labprints.com/website/pho...orefronts.html

I use Option #1: 5 cents for every image uploaded. No processing or back end fees. Events are hosted for 60 days. It isn't any easier (and affordable) than that!

I use to use EZphotopost.com. They have an extremely SLOW SERVER!!!!!! Images take FOREVER to load! I just went to their web site to see if things are any better since I left them 6 months ago and I got the following error message:

I'm Sorry... The Page You are Trying to Reach is Unavailable at this Time.

Please hit refresh and try again...

Possible reasons for this error are:
* Server is experiencing an unusually heavy customer load.
* There is an error with the images/data uploaded by the artist and it needs to be fixed.

Some things just never change!

Mark

I don't have or no how to set-up shopping cart software. Do you have any suggestions for software that doesn't require html knowledge?

Re: Which website for selling photos over the web?

Try the EOS template from Breeze Systems - Digital Camera Workflow Software: Browser, Downloader, Canon Remote Capture.

Costs about $79 and then whatever webspace you need to keep the photos online. I pay about $200 for 100gb of space (enough for approx 3 million images), with 20gb bandwidth (you need a reasonably high amount to allow people to look at your images).

btw, the name EOS template is nothing to do with Canon cameras. Dont let that put you off.
