Pro Photo Rewards: Is this for real?
It is definitely for real and it has been successful. No other major photo site has a cash rewards program. After reviewing the data from the first 3 months of the rewards program we see that our rewards members generated 1/5 of all posts for the past 3 months. To continue to grow the program, we have adjusted the rewards up to 25 cents per post for any rewards member contributing 70 posts, or more, in any quarter. We want to sincerely thank all of our existing rewards members for their contributions. We invite you to join us.
Pro Photo Rewards: How it works.
Rewards start at
10 cents a post for all eligible posts* up to 70. If you make more than 70 eligible posts* in a quarter then your rewards account will be credited 25 cents for all posts made in the quarter; up to 250 posts per quarter. Posts must be made to the main forum or review area of the website. Payments are calculated once a quarter and sent out within two weeks of the quarter's end (January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st).
Upon enrollment, funds will be automatically added to your paypal account once a quarter. All funds originate in USD currency. Paypal will automatically calculate any currency conversions as necessary on the day the funds are deposited to your account.
You must have a valid paypal account and it must be listed in your account at the end of the quarter to receive payment. If you do not have a paypal account you may easily set one up when clicking the signup link. Personal Paypal accounts are entirely free to you.
* Please Note Post Eligibility Requirements:
All posts must meet normal eligibility guidelines as outlined below. If posts do not meet guidelines you may be unenrolled in the program. Only one warning will be given before unenrollment should this become necessary.
It is expected that the high level of content quality that is the current standard in this community will be upheld.
If it is suspected that a member is attempting to simply up their post count with lots of useless postings that add no value to the thread, or the community, that member will be unenrolled in the program. Suspect posts may be easily reported by any member, at any time, by simply clicking the the "Lightning Bolt" icon above that specific post.
Additional Terms:
You must make at least ten posts in any given quarter to receive a payment. Posts do not carry over from one quarter to another. The maximum number of posts per quarter that you will be paid is 250. At present, the maximum return on this program per year is $250 (or USD equivalent). The post amount and maximum return may be increased over time, depending on the overall success of this program within the community.
Important Final Step:
After enrollment is complete you will need to return to ProPhotoHome and click the "My Control Panel" link in the top right of the screen and add your Paypal Email Address to your profile to be paid.
After clicking "My Control Panel" look to the left side of the screen and click "edit profile" and add your Paypal Email Address to the field labelled "PaypalEmailAddress" at the very bottom of the page. This is a private field and is not viewable by other members.

Paid Referrals Program:
Paste the Link. That's All There is to it.
Go ahead and simply paste the link from the top of your "My Control Panel" page. This link contains your own unique referral id. That's all there is to it. We automatically take care of the rest. Just make sure you have enrolled in Pro Photo Rewards as described above and have placed your paypal email address in your "My Control Panel" page.
Additional Information about the Referral Program: As a member of the community you offer the best testimony of the value of the site. One of the main ways you can help is by promoting the site directly through word of mouth, a blog, a website, an email, etc. It holds much more weight coming from you than it does me. When you share the value of the site with your friends, colleagues, and people you meet you are reaching exactly the people who are most likely to benefit from a site such as ours. I know that many of you already do this on a regular basis. There are others of us who need an incentive to remind us to do what we already want to do, but somehow forget. To this end we have added the paid referral program within Pro Photo Rewards.
How it Works: When someone clicks on your unique referral link to come to the site and register you will automatically be credited with the referral. You can always see how many people have registered using your link by clicking your profile, or going to your "My Control Panel" page.
When they upgrade to a paid membership you will receive an automatic payment through the "paypal email address" you have on file in your "My Control Panel" page.
Standard Referral Rewards Here is a referral chart showing your referral fee for each paid referral you receive.
A) 1 year Silver Membership- $5
B) 1 year Gold Membership- $10
C) 2 year Gold Membership- $15
D) 5 year Gold Membership- $20
Paid Referral Level Bonuses
3 Paid Referrals- you will receive 1 Free 1 year Gold Membership (for yourself, a friend, or as a giveaway to promote more referrals)
5 Paid Referrals- you will receive 1 Free Lifetime Membership (for yourself, a friend, or as a giveaway to promote more referrals)
11-20 Paid Referrals- you will receive 25% of the total gross membership payment minus new member discount.
20+ Paid Referrals- you will receive 50% of the total gross membership payment minus new member discount.
As you can see, by taking a more active role in promoting the growth of the community you will be helping the community and potentially receiving some decent earnings to boot.
Example: (Simply post your unique referral link on a permanent visible area of your blog and website. Preferrably with your own words about the value of the community.)
Suppose, in 1 year you have 90 people register for free at prophotohome using your referral link. Across that year, 1/3 of them upgrade to a 1 year Gold Membership. You would earn the following:
For Referrals 1-10: $100
$10 x 10= $100
For Referrals 11-20: $122.50
$59- (minus any discounts, say $10)= $49 x .25= $12.25
$12.25 x 10= $122.50
For Referrals 21-30: $245
$59-$10 (minus any discounts, say $10)= $49 x .50= $24.50
$24.50 x 10= $245.00
For 30 Paid Referrals you would earn
$467.50 plus whatever else you earn toward the $250 max for simply posting in the forum each quarter.
