Martin -

What do you think the price of this event software will be? It looks pretty simple and I would be interested in it.

Thanks,
Dan Verscha

Re: Here ya go Guys and Gals sweet and simple Viewing Station App

I have been releasing the app as a trial version good for 30 days, note: this application requires a Cold Fusion application server however I re wrote it to run on Blue dragon because blue dragon has a version of their application server which is free and runs this application very nicely so as of current the cold fusion server is no longer needed.

On another note, previously it required a web server, no it does not for the simple fact that Blue dragon has its own built in server.

If you would like a trial version give me a call and Ill email it to you along wit assisting you in the install of blue dragon server

I am requiring any one that wishes to purchase this for $250.00 to run the trial first to ensure they wish to commit to a purchase afterwards.

Martin, I dont want to rain on your program, but at the moment there are a lot of users of 5 minute photo, which has a track record, it costs almost half of your program and is very simple.I know you cannot place orders through a shopping cart with that program but as has been stated here many of us do not use that facility preferring pen and paper, What would I get with your program over and above 5 minute photo to justify double the price

Thumbs up Re: Here ya go Guys and Gals sweet and simple Viewing Station App

you get what you experience when you test it... and get to use it at your location... Im not even going to try and sell myself to anyone on this... let your deposit slip do that for you, pen and paper is way groovy man, but do some volume without all the sweat and the deposit slip is on auto pilot.

Crack dealer says , try it you'll like it...... hey, try it you'll like it, its a demo install it FOR FREE on your computer, try it at an event... ITS FREE for 3 days.... TRY IT IT'S FREE , if you dont like it, drag it to the recycle bin ...IF YOU LIKE IT BUY IT

Re: Here ya go Guys and Gals sweet and simple Viewing Station App

Wow!

The fact is, this thread is clearly an attempt to market and sell a product. Meaning it should be in the Announcements Area, rather than Events Area. But, that’s for the mods to deal with.

OTOH, I think Robert asked a reasonable question, and deserves a reasonable reply. The condescension and sarcasm is unwarranted.

While the response, he got, might be acceptable on sites like DPR, it’s not exactly the professional level of discourse I’ve come to expect on these forums. I for one, have gone from lukewarm and curious about the product to stone cold.

Re: Here ya go Guys and Gals sweet and simple Viewing Station App

one would at a minimum to test the online version then one would know what to expect, next step would to be to download the half a meg file and test drive it on your own system... can't really make it any more simple... kinda like kicking the tires.... I could wright a really long description with all the techie details but still thats not same or similar to testing it yourself.....it is clearly an attempt to market AND sell a product. right on the head with that (POW) your observant , hey your opinion is just and accepted, there is a large market for taking orders on with pen and paper, its worked to a bizillion years and will continue to do so, Im sorta to the point I have been told that I use baby talk and will agree, as few words as required in most cases, and as little code as required likewise. Resourceful as well, I wrote this app for the budget minded on top of that for someone who doesnt know much about web servers/servers this rins like a firecracker on any win 2k or xp box and can serve bizillions of orders/customers at the same time... (bizillion) < just goofing around with that number... Will this is clearly not a product for you, Im even worse with support, in fact there is NO support provided beyond offering to set it up for a user. once it's set up there is no support required, its designed so that mom and dat along with lil timmy and mary as well as gramma and grandpop can easily empty their charge card into the photographers wallet. This aint no techie application, nothin fancy goin on here..... a dummy could do it
