Canon PowerShot SX1 IS Review - PC Mag

Canon PowerShot SX1 IS can be classified as a "superzoom" with its 20X optical zoom lens making it equivalent to a 28-560mm. Many photographers are commonly choosing this style of camera as a backup to a DSLR. The SX1 IS also has a 2.8" swiveling LCD display, can capture Raw and JPEG files, and can create 1080 HD Video.

"If you want a higher level of image quality and more speed, you'll have to move up to a D-SLR, like the Nikon D5000 or the Canon Rebel T1i, both of which capture HD video. But if all you want is an easy-to-use camera that gets you closer to the action than your typical shooter can, the SX1 could be it..."
