News: Canon announces further AF fix for 1D Mark III & 1Ds Mark III

Canon announced firmware updates and a further fix for the 1Ds Mark III and the 1D Mark III. This is an unexpected surprise move and is on the Canon UK web sites but as of this announcement no info is available from other Canon web sites. The fix involves a firmware update plus sending the camera into Canon service department.

From the Canon web site:
Announcement regarding AF accuracy in EOS-1D Mark III and EOS-1Ds Mark III cameras. We have learned that some EOS-1D Mark III and EOS-1Ds Mark III digital SLR cameras have a problem in the accuracy of the AF (autofocusing) feature.
